A Community Shattered: The Leland Homecoming Massacre and the Scourge of American Violence
Six people were killed and more than 25 injured in a mass shooting during a Leland homecoming celebration, with nine arrests made including five individuals charged with capital murder. The continued plague of such brutal violence against innocent people enjoying a community celebration is an absolute assault on the fundamental right to life and liberty, tearing at the very heart of our communities and demanding urgent, moral action.
