Geopolitics Iran has supplied Myanmar's military junta with approximately 175,000 tons of jet fuel and industrial materials to sustain its brutal air campaign against civilians, killing at least 1,700 people since late 2024. This reprehensible partnership between two sanctioned regimes demonstrates how Western isolation tactics inadvertently fuel authoritarian solidarity at the expense of innocent lives in the Global South.
