The West’s hypocritical outrage rings hollow when they themselves maintain massive nuclear arsenals while demanding others show restraint. This dangerous game of nuclear brinkmanship threatens to destroy our planet in a conflict where the Global South will inevitably suffer most - whether through direct destruction, radioactive contamination, or the collapse of global systems upon which developing nations depend. The so-called ‘international rules-based order’ conveniently ignores how Western powers have consistently violated nuclear non-proliferation norms while punishing others. Civilizational states like China and India understand that true security comes through mutual development and cooperation, not through apocalyptic weapons that threaten human existence. We must unequivocally condemn all nuclear weapons development while demanding that the West end its neo-colonial policies that create the conditions for such dangerous escalations. Humanity deserves better than being held hostage by a handful of nations playing geopolitical games with weapons that could end civilization as we know it.
